More about TrashCache

Since the software was added to our catalog in 2007, it has managed to reach 180 downloads, and last week it had 0 downloads.

TrashCache is a light program that will require less storage than the average program in the section Utilities.

This software is available for users with the operating system Mac OS X and prior versions, and it is only available in English. The current version of the program is 1.4 and the latest update was on 2/20/2007.

TrashCache is an automatic trash management utility. It automatically deletes files after they've been in the Trash for a specified period of time, anywhere from an hour to a month. In addition, it doesn't allow you to delete files prematurely; files will be deleted on schedule only.

When you drag a file to the Trash, TrashCache will intercept the file and leave an alias in the Trash. When you empty the Trash, the alias is deleted, but the original file remains intact.

Basically, TrashCache protects you from yourself. It allows you to rescue recently trashed files, and you don't have to change your workflow - you can continue to do things the way you always have.

Features:

  • Deletes trashed files automatically on a schedule
  • If you mistakenly empty the Trash, those files can be recovered
  • Simple, easy to use interface
